On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Recruitment, training and business consultancy Optima UK has announced a pair of new hires and a senior promotion.

Sam Naseer joins the Leicester firm as global director of technology and IT recruitment services, while Gladia Antony joins as senior manager, global talent acquisition, technology and IT recruitment services.

Meanwhile, Optima’s head of operations Julie Booth has been promoted to director of recruitment operations.

Derby-based IT company Infuse has added three new apprentices to its ranks following its move to new premises at Pride Park.

Joshua Mills, Robert Pott and Aiden Richardson have joined Infuse as helpdesk support apprentices – taking the total number of apprentices at the firm to five.

Their recruitment was facilitated by local apprenticeship provider EMA Training.

Infuse provides 24/7 support, including managed IT support and cyber security and IT strategy, to businesses of all sizes across the Midlands and the UK.

Paul Howard, managing director of Infuse, said: “We are proud to offer entry-level IT roles for local people in Derby and the wider area. Our successful apprenticeship programme equips people of all ages with the skills and opportunities they need to kick-start their careers in tech, with many of our apprentices progressing onto higher roles at Infuse.
