Second phase of major office scheme gets green light

How the scheme will look next to Phase 1

The second phase of Nottingham’s landmark Unity Square development has been given the go-ahead by the city council planning committee on Wednesday afternoon (February 22)

Peveril Securities and its joint venture partner Sladen Estates first unveiled plans for phase 2 of the colossal office scheme in January last year.

An Environmental Impact Assessment application for almost 235,100 sq ft of office space across 13 storeys was given the go-ahead in January 2019.

The new building, which will be known as Unity 2, will be designed by 5Plus – the same architect that worked on the first phase of the scheme.

HMRC moved into phase 1 last year.

Peveril and Sladen believe the granting of reserved matters consent “will provide additional momentum to the marketing of the phase 2 site”, according to a document filed last year.
