Global logistics developer GLP has leased 135,000 sq ft of space at G-Park South Normanton to a mystery tenant.

The firm, which also develops data centres and has an interest in renewable energy, completed the forward funded industrial development last year in partnership with NFU Mutual and Clowes.

The huge warehouse has been let on 15-year lease. It is situated within Castlewood Business Park, a 1.5m sq ft development boasting top-tier tenants including Co-op Food, Alloga and Parker Knoll.

The unit, which also includes 7,696 sq ft of office space, has obtained a BREEAM “Very Good” rating.

Adrienne Howells, senior development director at GLP, said: “G-Park South Normanton Castlewood is another important step in our ongoing commitment to the Midlands – one of the UK’s major logistics hubs. We’re continuing to invest in the region to provide high-quality, strategically located, sustainable logistics space to our growing pool of top-tier customers. Using a forward funded model for this project demonstrates the breadth of our skillset as we find inventive ways to increase our capacity at pace, given the high levels of demand and constrained supply in the market.”
