On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Iona Reid

Chesterfield-based Bridge Help has appointed Iona Reid to its business development team.

Reid brings a background in property sales and lettings to the role, joining the short-term commercial finance provider from Keepmoat Homes where she was a sales executive.

Prior to this, she was a lettings manager with a national estate agent.

She said: “I am really looking forward to working with such a supportive team and within the short-term finance sector. I have plenty of transferable skills from previous roles within the property industry and I’m inspired by new Manager, Katie and what she has achieved.”

Katie Snodden head of sales at Bridge Help added: “Iona is a welcome addition to the team as we continue to increase the support we offer to brokers across England and Wales. Her experience in sales and property makes her well-placed to help us continue to deliver great outcomes for their clients.”

Accountant and ethics adviser, Stuart Brown has been invited to join The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) on its Members and Commercial Board.

In this additional role, Brown, who will continue his work for East Midlands accountancy practice Duncan & Toplis, will help to steer the development, operation and implementation of policies and actions that will impact the organisation’s almost 200,000 global members.

He said: “I am very proud to be part of the ICAEW Members & Commercial Board through my engagement with the ICAEW Ethics Advisory Committee.

“The board is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of policies, actions and the operational plan in the area of ICAEW member services and commercial services. In other words, they have oversight of all member and commercial services, which makes this a great mark of recognition that I’m honoured to accept.

“We report directly to the ICAEW main board, so it will increase the profile of Duncan & Toplis as a prominent voice for ethical business advice within the world-leading accountancy body known to everyone in the industry.”
