On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Leicestershire freight distribution network Pall-Ex has appointed Bridie O’Halloran as corporate sales director.

She brings with her a wealth of experience, boasting 30 years in sales, 23 of those in logistics, with a background of managing sales teams at companies such as Target Express and Parcelforce.

In her new role, O’Halloran’s key responsibilities will include focusing on new business and exploring diverse sectors – with the aim to grow market share significantly.

Michelle Naylor, commercial director at Pall-Ex, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Bridie to our team. Her extensive experience and proven track record in sales and logistics will undoubtedly drive Pall-Ex to new heights. We look forward to achieving market share growth and enhancing our presence in various sectors under her leadership.”

Four step up at Magma

Magma Chartered Accountants has made five promotions across its Rugby and Leicester offices.

The promotions took effect across the firm’s audit, business services and corporate finance teams.

In audit, Luke Edwards becomes associate director, Kaylee McCarthy becomes senior manager and Laura Vincent is promoted to assistant manager.

Within the business services team Emma Steptoe has been promoted to senior manager, and Chris Matthews becomes senior manager within the corporate finance team.

The Lincoln office of Eddisons incorporating Banks Long & Co has announced a trio of new appointments.

Jasper Nilsson has been recruited to the role of Graduate surveyor and joins from Frasers Group where he was a trainee commercial manager.

He brings retail & leisure sector experience to the firm’s property agency offer in the region.

The second new appointment is Ashley Humphrey. He joins as a property management surveyor, making the move to the commercial property sector after seven years’ in residential lettings with a focus on property management.

Humphrey will, initially, work across a range of commercial property disciplines with a view to specialising in the future on attaining the RICS accreditation he is studying for with the backing of the firm.

The final new appointment announced this autumn is Jacob Hage who joins the office for the third of a four year BSc honours degree course in Building Surveying at Nottingham Trent University.
