Transport and logistics firm set to appoint administrators

A North Lincolnshire transport and logistics firm is facing an uncertain future, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

Mark Stewart Limited, which is based in North Killingholme, has posted a notice of appointment to appointment administrators.

The applicant behind the move is Bibby Financial Services which holds a charge over the company.

Mark Stewart offers transport and logistics services across the UK, mainland Europe and Scandinavia and regularly services the North Lincolnshire ports of Immingham and Killingholme.

A statement on the company’s website says: “With years of experience in the logistics industry, we at Mark Stewart International Ltd possess in-depth knowledge and a thorough understanding of diverse market requirements. From Haulage and freight forwarding to warehousing and supply chain management, Mark Stewart International Ltd offers a complete suite of services that caters to the unique needs of each client.”

In its latest accounts, made up to the end of October 2022, Mark Stewart posted a loss of £200,000. At the time it employed 25 people.
