On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Derby law firm Nelsons has promoted four employees in its family law, dispute resolution and corporate departments.
Children’s law specialist Gareth Protheroe, who qualified as a solicitor in 2014, has been promoted to partner from legal director, having worked at the firm since 2016.
Solicitors Ruby Ashby, Liz Mills and Natasha Roberts have also been promoted to senior associates.
Ashby works in dispute resolution, specialising in inheritance and trust disputes, data breaches and defamation claims. Mills, who is part of the corporate department, provides advice on acquisitions, mergers and disposals, company formations and reorganisations.
In the family team, Roberts’ area of expertise includes domestic violence, child arrangements and care proceedings. She is also a member of Resolution – a specialist organisation for family justice professionals in England and Wales.

John Shah
3PL operator Europa Warehouse has added to its team with a new role.
John Shah becomes Europa’s UK head of warehouse operations. He is responsible for leading on Europa’s three warehouse sites, including its largest in Corby.
Shah said comments: “Europa already has impressive facilities, a remarkable team and robust technology; my role is to refine these operations. Focusing on continuous improvements to help grow sales, reduce costs and push boundaries to provide the best service for our customers.”
