On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Derby PR and communications agency, Nielsen McAllister has appointed author Ryan Conway as senior account manager.

Holding a degree in Sports Journalism from the University of Huddersfield and being recognised by the Football Black List in 2020 as one of the 30 best black sports journalists in the UK, Conway has transferred his skills to the B2B PR world.

Conway’s debut book, Pride Before the Fall, documents Derby County Football Club’s plight from the 2019 Championship playoff final to within a week of extinction.

He said: “I’m overjoyed to be joining such an unmatched business as Nielsen McAllister. From the very first interview, I felt part of the team, and I am thrilled to be working with them to help drive forward for even more success in the future.”

Derby-based independent management consultancy FPA Consulting has expanded its team following the appointment of Dave Brandon and Caroline Eyden.

The company specialises in quality, environmental, sustainability, health and safety information security, procurement, energy and utility management.

Dave Brandon joins as a consultant having previously worked at the National Timber Group as their integrated systems group manager supporting 36 sites across the country.

Before this, he worked in several positions including Dwr Cymru – Welsh Water as a Water Quality Laboratory Manager.

Caroline Eyden also joins as a consultant, having previously worked in the regulatory department for a medical device company, where she assisted in the maintenance of the quality management system.
