Leicestershire housebuilder makes significant investments in the region

Housebuilder David Wilson Homes East Midlands, located in Coalville, has built 678 new homes in the region in the last financial year, contributing £130m to the UK’s overall economy.

A recent report details the social and economic impact of the property developer in the Midlands during the previous fiscal year.

The report reveals, the property developer directly and indirectly supported 1,818 jobs through its contractors and suppliers. It collaborated with 366 subcontractor companies and 310 supplier companies. The company also established 13 hectares of green space in the area for both residents and the general public to enjoy.

Moreover, It locally contributed £200,000 through its Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 contributions. The company invested £24.1m in physical improvements benefiting local communities, including enhancements to highways, environmental upgrades, and community facilities. Additionally, the company donated £50,700 to charitable organisations through company donations, employee fundraising, and supplier sponsorship.
