On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Stacey Nixon

Burton- based Willshee’s has launched a national brokering service that includes identifying suitable providers for all waste and recycling solutions.

Willshee’s has appointed Stacey Nixon as supply chain manager to head up the new division. Nixon has spent eight years in the waste industry, with a number of these years as supply chain manager.

Willshee’s managing director Dean Willshee said: “Extending the scope of the Willshee’s offer with our new brokering service is a natural evolution for us, especially as we are receiving an increasing number of tender requests from larger organisations.

“As one of the Midlands’ leading waste and recycling businesses, we are excited about the opportunities this new division will bring to the wider group and our customers, enabling us to grow further and extend our services nationwide.”

Dominic Sakar

Crick-based City Plumbing has hired Dominic Sakar as its commercial director.

Sakar brings over 20 years of experience in product and category management, the last seven of which were within the merchant sector.

He said: “What attracted me to this role is City Plumbing, and the wider Highbourne Group’s desire to never stand still. I share that passion to excel and be future-thinking and there’s huge potential to build on the company’s already strong foundations.

“What’s unique about the business is that its ambition is also combined with a focus on people – customers, colleagues and supplier partners – and I’ve witnessed first-hand the personable and approachable culture of the business as I’ve started my role. There’s a true desire to work together for the good of the customer.”
