East Midlands law firm Rothera Bray has paid tribute to one of its partners, Tom Redgate, who died recently.

Tom was a commercial property specialist and had worked at Rothera Bray for more than 20 years. He died a week after his 60th birthday, on January 22.

In a statement, Rothera Bray said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Redgate.

“Tom joined us in 2002 and made a huge contribution to the growth of the commercial property team over the years, as well as being a much-loved character in work.

“In addition to his work and career as a commercial property solicitor and partner, Tom enjoyed an extensive career in the Territorial Army and was well known to all of us for his love of Derby County, but it was really the love for his family that defined Tom and we offer his wife Amanda Redgate and daughters Annabel Redgate and Georgina Redgate our sincere condolences in this difficult time.

“Tom will be sorely missed by all of us at Rothera Bray.”

People are invited to attend a memorial service for Tom at St Mary’s Church, High Pavement, Nottingham, on Monday, February 19 from 2-3pm.

Tom’s family is raising funds for the Army Benevolent Fund, and details of how to donate are at https://www.funeralguide.co.uk/obituaries/120151
