Frasers Group adds talent to its board of directors
Shirebrook-based Frasers Group has revealed new additions to its board of directors.
Helen Wright, global CEO of Sergio Rossi, will join as a non-executive director, while David Al-Mudallal, chief operating officer, and Ger Wright, managing director of sports, take up roles as executive directors.
Wright brings over 25 years of experience in luxury and lifestyle consumer brands to Frasers Group, holding leadership positions at Ralph Lauren, Fendi/LVMH, and Anya Hindmarch.
In November 2023, she became the group CEO of Sergio Rossi, an Italian luxury footwear brand headquartered in Milan.
Al-Mudallal assumed the position of chief operating officer at Frasers Group in August 2021, where he focuses on talent acquisition, operational excellence, and integrating newly acquired businesses onto the Frasers platform to unlock profitable growth.
Ger Wright has been serving as managing director of sports at Frasers Group since 2022, bringing 20 years of executive experience in commercial, product, and merchandising functions. In her role, Ger oversees the sports sector within the Group, collaborating closely with the team and brand partners to drive the business’s omnichannel transformation and expansion.
David Daly, chair of the board at Frasers Group, said: “Much has changed at Frasers over recent years and today is another significant milestone in our transformation as we welcome new high-calibre individuals to the Board. I know that we will benefit from their leadership and expertise. I’m also delighted that their appointments further diversify our Board, ensuring that we have the range of skills and views required to enable the future success of the Elevation Strategy.”
The firm is also planning for the appointment of Sir Jon Thompson, former CEO of the Financial Reporting Council, as a non-executive director. Thompson is expected to join the board later in the year.
