On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Lincoln law firm Pepperells Solicitors has set up a new department specialising in criminal defence law from its West Parade office.
The new department is led by Sonia Bhalla, a seasoned criminal defence solicitor, who will be joined by Jan Povada, a police station representative renowned for his comprehensive understanding of police procedures and protocols.

A new associate has been appointed by engineering consultancy Rodgers Leask, expanding the civil engineering team at its Derby-based headquarters.
Matt Leask rejoins Rodgers Leask to support with the development of projects across the East Midlands. He first joined the consultancy more than ten years ago as a project engineer and rose through the ranks to become a principal engineer before gaining experience elsewhere and returning to Rodgers Leask.
Leask said: “Rodgers Leask is a consultancy that has an enviable foundation and presence in the civil engineering industry. Rejoining this experienced and ambitious team comes easily and I’m more than ready to utilise my expertise at such a busy time, both in the industry and across our offices throughout the country, to expand our client base even further.
