Derby publishing company alerts administrators

A publishing and media group that produces magazines for the vape and CBD industries is on the verge of calling in administrators, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

Orange Fox Media, based in Derby, has posted a notice of intention to appoint administrators through Mezzle Law – a move which will protect it against creditor action for around 10 days.

The company publishes the Cannavist and Vapouround magazines, as well as showguides for the CBD and vape industry.

Filings at Companies House show that Orange Fox Media hasn’t posted any accounts for almost two years. Accounts made up to the end of May 2022 outline the company employed around 28 people at the time.

According to Orange Fox Media’s website, in January 2019, The Cannavist became the first ever cannabis-based publication available to the British and Irish consumer and trade markets. It was for sale on the high street at WHSmith and McColl’s stores.

Vapouround has been published since 2015.
