Next on course for another record year

Next, the Enderby-based retail giant, has posted strong results for the 13 weeks to April 27.

The company said that full-price sales were up by 5.7% on the same period in 2023 – but that it wouldn’t be altering its full-year profit forecast of £960m.

Next also said that it is maintaining guidance for full-price sales for the first half of its financial year to be up 2.5% on last year.

In March, Next posted record profits for its year ending January 31 – up by 5% to £918m, while group sales rose by almost 6% to £5.84bn.
