Life science organisation announces structural changes

Melanie Davidson, chief executive officer

Life science industry organisation Medilink Midlands is implementing key changes to how it manages, supports, and oversees its membership.

The changes include a shift in personnel roles, with Chris Dyke, head of connectivity and innovation adviser and Alison Morgan-Kimberley, taking a more active role in member and patron support.

Dyke, who has been with the Nottingham-based firm since 2002, has played a role in the organisation’s success.

His knowledge of the healthcare sector and connections within the life sciences and med tech communities will be instrumental in helping patrons and members strengthen their growth foundations.

Morgan-Kimberley, who joined Medilink Midlands in 2018, has spent the past six years providing business support and helping to deliver funding initiatives to various innovators and organisations within the life sciences sector.

Melanie Davidson, chief executive officer, said: “Membership is at the heart of Medilink Midlands and we are committed to supporting and championing our patrons and members, their innovations, services and products. We are therefore constantly evaluating and instigating improvements wherever possible.

To boost awareness of its members’ products and services, Medilink Midlands has launched a Member Showcase series, highlighting sector collaborations and support opportunities.

The Member forums also allow the community to share their needs and how Medilink can assist.

Davidson continued: “Recent internal changes have meant that head of partnerships, Joanne Bekis, has concluded her tenure at Medilink Midlands. We would like to wish her well with her future career and thank her for her endeavors. Medilink Midlands will continue to build on the foundations already put in place and we look forward to supporting our membership base with any and every opportunity.”
