Facilities management firm awarded contract at Nottinghamshire prison
Amey has been awarded the contract for managing hard FM services at HMP Lowdham Grange, a Category B training prison in Nottinghamshire with a capacity of 888 male offenders.
The prison, recently brought under public sector control, saw its maintenance team transfer to Amey in August, with further positions to be filled soon.
Amey, a provider of critical facilities management services, supports clients like the Ministry of Justice and HMPPS, overseeing 64 prison sites and providing services for the judicial system.
Amey business director, Pete Mathieson, said: “We have been a strategic partner to the Ministry of Justice for several years and have a unique understanding of what is needed to deliver facilities management services within these complex sites. HMP Lowdham Grange has a unique set of challenges, and we will be working collaboratively with existing personnel and the prison team to ensure the site is returned to a stable condition.”
