Software firm trades business park for scenic new digs in Northamptonshire
A software company has relocated within Northamptonshire, moving from a roadside business park to a more rural setting.
Eddisons facilitated the move for Intouch Monitoring, a specialist in production monitoring software for the manufacturing industry.
The company has shifted from Sywell Aerodrome Business Park to Tithe Farm in Holcot, where they will occupy The Bull Pens and The Granary business units.
Having been based at Sywell since 2007, the end of their lease prompted a search for a larger space to support their transition from on-site visits to increased online client interaction, a shift that emerged following the Covid-19 pandemic.
Unlike their previous premises, which offered just one meeting room for Zoom and Teams calls, the new 1,785 sq ft facility features multiple meeting rooms and breakout spaces for virtual client meetings and internal meetings.
Nathan Clarke of Intouch Monitoring said, “We had outgrown our former premises and needed additional space to grow the team. It was crucial for us to have more space for colleagues to conduct meetings without the distraction of others.
“With colleagues commuting from Kettering, Rugby and Birmingham as well as more local Northampton locations, we needed to remain in the county too. Tithe Farm ticked all the boxes – and offered additional benefits. The courtyard has introduced the opportunity for more social events. For colleagues who run at lunchtime, the rural location is far more pleasant than being on a roadside business park.
“Plus, being on a working farm with views across the fields gives us a fresh outlook and couldn’t offer a better contrast with our working sector focus.”
Amanda Lawrence, surveyor in Eddisons’ Kettering office, brokered the deal.
She said: “We were instructed to find a tenant to take over the lease and, it being my business to know which businesses have property requirements in the area, we were able to get Bull Pens and Granary Farm under offer to Intouch Monitoring almost straightaway, without the need to launch on the open market.
“Eddisons is also retained by the landlord to manage the Tithe Farm development, so I knew that Intouch Monitoring would be a good fit.”
