Traffic update: Flooding causes road closures in Northants

Commuters are set for widespread disruption this morning (10th March) after flooding closed the A14 to close eastbound between J13 (A45/A605) – J20 (Ellington) and westbound between J21(A1) and J19 (Easton).

Diversions have been put in place: eastbound traffic should exit at J13 onto the A605 northbound past Oundale and Elton, and then take the A1(M) southbound at J17 to re-join the A14 at J21 (Brampton Hut)

The Highways Agency says road users in the area are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to consider alternative routes if possible.
