Cartwright set to paint rosy picture for Gainsborough

Nottingham-based PR and digital agency Cartwright Communications has been appointed by West Lindsey District Council to support an £18m project to drive investment and regeneration into the Lincolnshire town of Gainsborough.
Following a four-way competitive pitch, Cartwright was appointed to carry out strategy planning with public relations and digital support to the authority. The Gainsborough ‘placemaking’ project will see the authority aiming to boost jobs and housing in the town – and drive economic growth in to the area.
Liz Cartwright, managing director at Cartwright Communications, said: “This project is a great fit for us and we are really pleased to be working with West Lindsey District Council to help promote Gainsborough as a place to live, work and invest.
“As a Midlands-based agency, with many team members from Lincolnshire, it is great to secure such an important piece of work that gives us the opportunity to champion a vibrant Lincolnshire town. It is especially fitting as I first began my career as a journalist in Gainsborough.
“As an agency we are extremely experienced and well connected in the property and development sector and will use this expertise to drive investment and regeneration for Gainsborough as part of a creative communications campaign.”
Eve Fawcett-Moralee, strategic lead for economic development at West Lindsey District Council, said: “We are thrilled to appoint Cartwright Communications. We were impressed by the company’s high level of expertise in construction, built environment and extensive contacts nationally and regionally.
“The team’s creative ideas and thorough explanation at the pitch were exactly what we were looking for and we are particularly pleased to have a Midlands agency to help rejuvenate the area and help unlock the opportunities that Gainsborough has to offer.”
