On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Katrina Handforth-Smith

Nottingham Girls’ High School has appointed Katrina Handford-Smith as deputy head, the position recently vacated by new Head, Julie Keller.

Handford-Smith will assist in all aspects of leading the school; academically and providing pastoral support, both areas in which she has gained considerable expertise during her roles as deputy head of the Sixth Form since 2012, and more recently as pastoral assistant head.

She said: “Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, where the priority is to ensure the happiness and well-being of the girls, is fantastic and I love being part of making girls’ experiences here at Nottingham Girls’ High School the very best of their lives.”

Purpose Media has appointed Matthew Sellars as a digital marketing consultant.

His appointment is the sixth new employee to have joined the company since January, and is part of an expansion strategy in which Purpose Media aims to achieve a turnover of £10m by 2020.

Prior to joining Purpose Media, Matt was a Digital Communications Coordinator for one of the largest motor retailers in the UK and has previous experience as a website developer.
