Construction boss set to step down

The chairman and chief executive of North Midland Construction will announce today (19 May) that he is stepping down from the roles.
Robert Moyle, who has been with the Sutton-in-Ashfield company since leaving university in 1973, will continue in the role of executive chairman, but will “devolve” the two roles he currently holds.
In a statement to the company’s AGM to be held today, Moyle will tell shareholders: “I feel that the time is now right to devolve the roles of chairman and chief executive.
“It is my intention to continue in the role of executive chairman and to assist the new appointee in every way I can in maintaining the growth and improving the profitability of the Group. The process has already commenced and the decision will be announced in the near future.”
Moyle will say that North Midland is back in the black. The company made a Group profit of £234,000, compared with a loss of £125,000 for the same period last year. Revenue increased by 10.2% to £59.44 million.
