Ahead of the busiest couple of weeks of her year, Jayne Southall, CEO of Lincolnshire Showground, tells us how she switches off at the weekend
How do you relax at the weekend?
I usually go swimming, walking or do a bit of gardening. I also spend time with friends and family.
How many hours do you work at the weekend on average?
Six.
What’s your favourite:
– holiday destination? I like anywhere hot where I can relax and swim or weekends away.
– Book? I like autobiographies but I only tend to read on holidays.
– Album? I don’t have a favourite album and it usually depends on my mood what I listen to. The last concert I attended was Adele. Next will be Elton John at Lincolnshire Showground – although I will be working.
– Food? Italian or fish and I prefer cheese and biscuits to desserts – with wine obviously.
– TV programme? I don’t have a favourite TV programme but will watch Grand Designs or cookery programmes. I prefer to listen to music or just pick a movie.
– Website or app? I tend to use Twitter to keep in touch with what is happening in the world.
How do you usually spend Sunday evenings?
I like to relax with a glass of wine and prepare for the following week of work.
