On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Nottingham-based civil and electrical engineering construction company, McCann, has appointed Tiz Gibson to the newly-formed position of local authority business lead.

Gibson’s appointment follows the company’s success in completing a number of projects for local Councils, including its most recent – working with North East Lincolnshire Council to replace over 20,000 traditional street lights with low energy LED lights.

Gibson joins the McCann team from Balfour Beatty where, as general manager, he was responsible for the overall management and delivery of contracts.

Sally Lewis

Derby-based Armsons has appointed a new chartered building surveyor. Sally Lewis joins the team as an associate director providing building surveying services, including asset management advice, condition surveys and reports, defects analysis, statutory compliance, feasibility studies, design and specification, contract administration and landlord and Tenant services.

Lewis said: “I am very pleased and excited to be joining a well-established local consultancy with a great reputation for the professional services that they provide both locally and nationally”.
