Travis Perkins reports increased profits

Travis Perkins, the Northants-based builders’ merchants, has announced turnover and profits hikes for the year-ending 31 December 2015.

Revenue for the year increased by 6.5%, whilst profits were up 8.7% to £389m.

Dividends to shareholders were up from 38p per share in 2014 to 44p last year.

Robert Walker, chairman, said: “I am confident that we will continue to outperform the markets we compete in, continue to grow operating profits, improve the return on capital employed in our businesses and ultimately grow the return to our shareholders.”
