Gloworm Festival

Location: Clumber Park, Worksop, Nottinghamshire
This weekend a brand new family friendly festival will be launched in Nottinghamshire, bringing music, art and entertainment to the heart of the Midlands. The Gloworm festival offers workshops, activities and rides for families and children of all ages. There will also be a petting farm, well-known TV characters and a selection of the best entertainers performing live.
1940s Day
Date: Sunday 21st August
Location: Brayford Waterfront, Lincoln
Celebrate the spirit of 1940s Britain on Lincoln’s Brayford Waterfront with a day of vintage activities. The Waterfront will be full of atmosphere on this summery Sunday for a 1940s celebration, packed with live music performances, vintage vehicles, 1940s Homefront dancers and living history groups.
A scheduled flypast from a BBMF Spitfire will be taking over the sky at 2.35pm and traders will line the waterfront offering a unique shopping experience.
Annie
Date: Saturday 20th August
Location: The Deco main auditorium, Northampton
This extremely popular, award-winning Broadway show based on the comic strip, Little Orphan Annie is coming to the stages of Northampton this Saturday. Performed by over 60 talented young people and with hits such as ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘Hard Knock Life’, it is guaranteed to be a true summer holiday treat for all the family. Matinee and evening performances available.
City Festival

Location: Various venues, Leicester
For ten days, the city of Leicester will be a hive of activity for all the family as streets and venues are filled with entertainment, street arts, sports, culture, music, heritage and more. Now in its 4th year, the City Festival has grown to be one of the major events in Leicester’s festival calendar. New additions for 2016 include a magical street theatre, a major international drum and firework show and much more.
