On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Derby-based Koobr has appointed Jaide Spencer as its new digital marketing manager.

Spencer brings with her a wealth of experience within the industry including securing exclusive events with Swarovski at previous employer Beads Direct and 4 years at Derby-based firm, Brooks Digital Marketing.

Craig Barker, managing director at Koobr, said: “We were really impressed with Jaide’s enthusiasm and marketing skill-set from the beginning. She has already proved herself to be an invaluable asset to our growing team.”

Nicola Whiting, trainee accountant at Smith Cooper Accountants and Business Advisers, has been elected as vice chairperson of Nottingham Chartered Accountants Students Society (NCASS).

NCASS is the local student society for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and it is run by students for the students.

Whiting said: “I am very proud to have been elected as Vice Chairperson of NCASS. When I started on the committee almost two years ago NCASS was smaller with members mainly from the Big 4 firms, however the committee continues to grow year on year with new members from a wider range of firms.

“It was great to be elected by my fellow students and I am looking forward to the challenges and responsibilities the role will bring.”
