Althorp Food and Drink Festival
Date: Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th September
Location: Althorp Estate, Northampton
This year, Althorp Estate will be welcoming a number of producers as well as suppliers of the finest food and drink from Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties. There will be an array of demonstrations, masterclasses and talks from leading professionals, celebrating the craft, diversity and culture of food and drink.

I do Wedding Exhibition
Date: Sunday 25th September
Location: Derby Arena, Derby

I do Wedding Magazine are set to host more than 150 of the finest local wedding suppliers, all eager to help organise the special day and the cherry on the top of the cake is that it is absolutely free for all brides-to be.
The day will begin with a bubbly reception and goodie bags full of freebies, there will be amazing Milan-style catwalk shows, a host of live entertainment from magicians to musicians, a wedding car display featuring Classic, Vintage, Modern and Prestige vehicles, plus competitions, special offers and much more.

South Lincolnshire Walking Festival
Date: Saturday 24th September – Sunday 30th October
Location: Willow Tree Fen nature reserve, Lincoln
This weekend marks the launch of a month-long-period of free, guided walks across the South of Lincolnshire. The 80 different walks, which will feature dog-friendly routes and special features, will be taking place on weekends starting this Saturday with a family fun day and guided walks through the nature reserve.
The launch day will include crafts, den building, minibeast hunts, pond dipping and many more activities.

Olympian archery event
Date: Saturday 24th September
Location: Wollaton Park, Nottingham
Two of Britain’s finest archers, Naomi Falkard and Patrick Huston will be targeting the Nottingham Building Society Archery GB National Series Finals at Wollaton Park this weekend.

The event, which is completely free for spectators, will see the park transformed into an archery arena to showcase the thrilling head-to-head competition. The National Series Finals promise to be a great weekend of fun for the whole family with the chance to have a go at archery, enjoy children’s play areas and explore Batman’s mansion.

Sci-fi weekend
Date: Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th September
Location: Great Central Railway, Loughborough
GCR’s Sci-Fi Weekend returns this weekend with activities for all fantasy fiction enthusiasts to enjoy with Cybermen, Doctors and other famous characters. There will be a journey’s end real ale bar, light sabre demonstrations and workshops, fun fair rides and a costume competition for the best dressed.
