On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Following its acquisition in June by ceramic Industry business leader, Kevin Oakes, fine bone china manufacturer, Royal Crown Derby has Nikki Green, to the position of head of global hospitality.

Green, who joins Royal Crown Derby after having also worked at Steelite International, boasts 17 years’ experience in design and hospitality, most recently working as Steelite’s design sales manager for the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific (MEAAP), travelling globally for 10 years to grow the world-leading tableware manufacturer’s market share in the region.

Greenwill be responsible for growing Royal Crown Derby’s presence in the global hospitality sector, raising brand awareness and driving design-led sales by engaging existing and new clients and developing the brand’s hospitality offering, including its upcoming collections Rumours and Exposé.

She said: “I have always been extremely passionate about combining my ability to creatively design and work commercially to deliver beautiful, innovative and functional tableware to meet the exacting briefs of global clients.

“To have the opportunity to bring these skills to Royal Crown Derby, one of the UK’s most iconic brands, is the pinnacle of my career to date. Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has extended its support for East Midlands mid-markets businesses with three new appointments.

Peter Rothery has joined the team as a relationship director, and will be working with a portfolio of clients based across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.

Rothery’s most recent position at the bank was in a business development role in the South Midlands and East of England, where he helped to grow the banks corporate business franchise. He will now be supporting local firms as they look to accelerate their growth plans to achieve and realise ambitions both domestically and overseas.

Joining Rothery will be relationship director, Jeremy Prentice. Having worked with Lloyds Bank previously, Prentice will be supporting new and existing clients located in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

The final addition to the team is Khush Johal, who takes up the position of relationship manager. Johal has worked with businesses across the East Midlands in various roles at Lloyds Bank in the last 25 years.

Johal will work alongside his team to grow the bank’s portfolio of mid-market clients.

All three will work with firms with a turnover between £25m and £750m reporting to Dene Jones, regional director for the East Midlands mid-markets team.

Jones said: “With over nine decades’ experience between Peter, Jeremy and Khush, they bring a significant amount of additional expertise to our team. They further strengthen our ability to help local firms achieve their growth ambitions, and ensure that we are able to continue to support ambitious mid-market management teams wanting to accelerate the next step in their strategic plans.”
