IBEX achieves sales growth in first year

A LANCASHIRE records management specialist has recorded a 6% sales hike and taken on more staff.

IBEX, formed to acquire Preston-based Alexander Young last year, said turnover rose to £641,000 during the year.

The firm has taken on Claire Neil and Mark Brankin as business development managers, and John Cheadle, who joins its delivery team.

Lorraine Birch, a co-founder of Alexander Young, who is now managing director of IBEX, said: “It’s been a year of investment, change and one of real progress. We have a sophisticated software system that is cutting edge, one of the best in the region, and this has improved the speed and accuracy of our document retrieval processes. Clients are already seeing benefits.”

IBEX’s clients include Maplin Electronics, Chartwell Finance, Ciceley Commercials and TJL Solicitors.

Ms Birch added: “We have expanded our service lines to include offsite data back-up and image hosting. Confidential waste destruction is proving immensely popular as companies must comply with stringent data protection rules.”

The firm is aiming to achieve further growth this year and is looking for potential acquisitions.
