Confetti off to a flying start

ONLINE wedding brand Confetti has reported a 20% hike in sales since Christmas.

The North West company which was bought out out administration last September by businessman George Buchan has also recently moved to a new location in Oldham.

The boost in sales – the result of introducing new product ranges and freshening up the website – comes as the business prepares to celebrate its 12th anniversary.

Confetti, whci has 36 staff and sells everything from table decorations, favours and gifts,  and offers brides-to-be wedding advice and information, has also won an award from Wedding Ideas magazine for a second year.

Mr Buchan said: “Confetti is a well loved brand and has a fantastic reputation for providing brides with everything they need to plan their wedding.

“The business has had to change to reflect the current climate but our focus has always been to retain our position as the UK’s number one wedding website. In addition to maintaining the services we are recognised for, we are building the brand by developing new opportunities to ensure we are the first choice for the modern bride.”

Formerly part of listed home shopping group Findel, Confetti was owned before the administration by The Hut Group. Sales were around £5.7m last year – but this figure included sales from its high street stores, which have been closed.
