Ryanair ups Liverpool routes after Manchester axe

BUDGET airline Ryanair has announced further expansion at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The Irish carrier, which this week axed nine of its 10 Manchester routes in a row with airport chiefs over charges, is adding two further destinations to its route network on its winter schedules, with flights to Agadir in Morocco and Bremen in Germany starting in October.
This will bring the total number of Ryanair routes this winter to 43.
Passengers affected by the cancellation of Ryanair’s flight from Manchester to Bremen can now switch to the new Liverpool Bremen service.
Robin Tudor, head of PR for Peel Airports, owners of JLA said: “The low cost operation developed by the airport company in the way we run the business here at JLA, combined with the excellent airline ‘on time performance’ and high operational service levels that we have achieved, means that Liverpool continues to be an attractive option for airlines to develop their business here.
“Ryanair’s announcement today and their others in recent weeks is great news for the airport and for passengers across the North West”.
