HomeForm collapse hits The Market Creative

MANCHESTER marketing firm The Market Creative has been forced out of business by problems at its largest client, the home improvements group HomeForm.

In a statement the company said it had ceased trading following the collapse, and expected administration, of Manchester-based Homeform which is behind brands such as Dolphin Bathrooms, Sharps Bedrooms and Moben Kitchens.

In April The Market Creative, led by managing director Sue Benson, won a three-way pitch to handle HomeForm’s £12m advertising business.

In the statement, issued yesterday, the company said: “We regretfully confirm that from today The Market Creative will cease trading.

“This is devastating news all round, but the blow from HomeForm has meant that we simply couldn’t continue. We have a team of extremely talented people who we have had to let go, but we would like to thank them and everyone in the industry who has supported us.”

It is understood 11 staff are affected by the closure.
