CHESHIRE-based Pochin Construction has completed the £480,000 refurbishment of The Red Lion pub in Disley on behalf of Frederic Robinson Ltd.
Works, which began in July 2009, comprised the complete refurbishment of the existing pub, with extensions including the introduction of new Green Oak entrance features.
The kitchen was extended and re-equipped for the increased dinning facility offered and improvements were also made to the external elevations, surrounding landscape and car park areas.
Innex Design, based in Warrington, was the architect firm, which also carried out administration in conjunction with Neil Robinson-Stanier, one of the brewery directors.
Chris Whittaker, senior contacts manager for Pochin, said: “The refurbishment has totally transformed The Red Lion and I’m sure it will prove very popular.”

PERSIMMON has instructed property agency Knight Frank to sell a 5,252 sq ft commercial unit at the Leftbank development in Spinningfields.
The self-contained suite, which is available on a long leasehold basis, fronts Quay Street with its own front door, giving the opportunity to brand the entrance.
The unit is accessed via a ground floor reception with office space on a mezzanine level. Car parking is also available to purchase in the basement of the building.
Andy Johnson, surveyor at Knight Frank, said: “The unit currently has consent for A3 use but is likely to be suitable for a variety of uses.
“The developer has left the unit in shell condition for the time being, in order to allow the occupier with the option to fit the property to their specific requirements, although the suite can be fitted out to an agreed specification if required.”
