A ‘green’ school in east Manchester has won the Salford Quays office of Bramall Construction a number of industry plaudits.

Bramall, part of the Keepmoat Group,  was highly commended in the environmental project category at this year’s Construction News Awards following its work building Park View Community Primary School in Miles Platting, Manchester.

This follows the North West Regional Construction Awards 2011 by raising the bar when it comes to innovative sustainable technology when building the facilities.

The £7.4m school has achieved high standards of carbon efficiency, reducing carbon dioxide levels by 53%, and 55% of the school’s energy is generated by onsite renewable air sources.
