People on the Move: Napthens; DLA Piper

Safiya Sidat

The Employment & HR team at regional law firm Napthens has expanded with the appointment of two new recruits.

Safiya Sidat and Kaine Davey have joined the team as employment law advisers, both based at the firm’s East Lancashire office in Blackburn.

Safiya joins Napthens from DWF Law where she managed an Employment Tribunal case load, acting for both claimants and respondents. She has extensive experience advising on a wide range of Employment Tribunal proceedings.

Kaine Davey

Kaine joins from a Manchester firm where she assisted and managed large-scale private sector equal pay claims. She has particular experience working on large group litigation.

As part of the employment & HR team, Safiya and Kaine will provide general support to clients via Napthens’ HR3 annual retainer service. This includes employment law and HR advice and day-to-day support for clients’ HR functions.

Oliver McCann, head of Napthens’ East Lancashire office, said: “Our employment team continues to grow to meet demand for our specialist service, in particular for our HR3 retainer, and Safiya and Kaine have experience that will be of great benefit to our clients.”
