Radius snaps up North East telecoms firm

Fuel card giant Radius Payment Solutions has acquired a North East telecoms firm specialising in the care sector.

The Frontier Group, led by managing director Andrew Rowley, is a business technology provider that specialises in mobile, connectivity and IT solutions, and will now form part of Crew-headquartered Radius.

Based in North Shields near Newcastle, the company has a strong regional presence as well as being a national provider of tailored services into the care industry.

The care service division now looks after more than 250 different organisations with over 16,000 users of mobile devices, tablets, connectivity, IOT and remote working solutions.

This acquisition represents the ninth by Radius in this sector in the last two years and gives it a strong North East base while strengthening its regional network.

Bill Holmes, CEO of Radius, said: “Andy and his team have built a really great business over the last ten years and have a strong customer base that includes many great local businesses as well as some prestigious national accounts.

This is the company’s second acquisition this month. Earlier in March, Radius also acquired Belfast-based telecoms firm, Rainbow Communications.
