Nelson-based Daisy Communications has acquired Premier Choice Telecom, for an undisclosed sum.

Established in 2001 by Nicholas Stansfield, Kent company Premier Choice Telecom is a telecommunications service provider to businesses throughout the UK. It provides telephone system installation, maintenance, cabling, network service billing and other associated telecom services, and was advised on the deal by Manchester mergers and acquisitions specialist Benchmark International.

Daisy Communications is part of the wider Daisy Group, offering a variety of communications services to SMEs, with the transaction enabling Daisy Communications to boost its offering within the health, education and charity sectors.

This highly strategic acquisition will see Premier Choice Telecom bring 1,500 customers and a 40-strong workforce to Daisy Communications’ team of 465 employees.

Nick Stansfield said: “After 20 years of building Premier Choice Telecom, we’ve decided it’s the right time to step away. However, we’re confident we’ve left the business in safe, reliable and capable hands.

“[We] are stepping away safe in the knowledge that Daisy Communications will not only continue to offer the same great service to our customers but also give our dedicated employees learning and growth opportunities so they can continue on their career paths.”

Dave McGinn, chief executive at Daisy Communications, said: “We’re delighted to have acquired Premier Choice Telecom and look forward to the acquisition strengthening our proposition to businesses, especially those within health.

“I’m equally as excited about welcoming Premier Choice Telecoms’ 40 staff who will join us, and we can learn from to make this a success for everyone. I look forward to welcoming the employees and to helping all of our customers, both new and existing, collaborate, communicate and connect.”
