New law firm launched in Liverpool will focus on businesses and entrepreneurs

David Mann

A new Liverpool law firm specialising in dispute resolution has been launched by solicitor, David Mann.

Mr Mann, ranked as a Next Generation Partner by independent guide the Legal 500, was previously a partner at Chester-based Aaron & Partners.

He has now set up Mann Roberts Solicitors, based at No1 Mann Island on the Liverpool waterfront which aims to provide advice for businesses and entrepreneurs.

Mr Mann qualified as a solicitor in 2008, and has built a reputation advising on complex and high value disputes both in the UK and internationally, specifically advising shareholders and partners in owner managed businesses.

The new firm will provide specialised guidance to specific sectors, including construction and engineering, agriculture and energy.

Mr Mann said: “I am hugely excited to launch Mann Roberts Solicitors. We wanted to create a firm that delivers outstanding client service.”

He explained his decision to base the new practice in Liverpool was because it has long been a centre of excellence for lawyers, law firms and professional services, generally. He added: “We are very proud to be headquartered here, so proud in fact that name features in our logo. This city’s great strength is the people who populate it.

“I firmly believe that there is something of a rebalance going on in this country, with the balance of economic power beginning to shift more towards the Midlands and North. Liverpool has a leading role to play in that. I could not think of a better place to found our new firm.”

He said one of the pillars of Mann Roberts will be to always share the financial risk of litigation with clients: “If we advise a client that they have a decent case, we will always put our money where our mouth is. We will always risk at least a proportion of our fee on the desired outcome being achieved if we say the client has a good chance of achieving it.”

And he pledged that Mann Roberts will also never take fees from a client unless the firm believes it can deliver value.

Based in Liverpool, most of the firm’s clients will come from Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and Lancashire, but Mann Roberts will also act on a national level.
