MEDIKA Spinngfields

A health and wellness clinic has chosen in Spinningfields, in Manchester, as its first UK location.

MEDIKA opened its doors this week, providing a ‘health oasis’ in the heart of the city centre.

Led by Dr Kamran Amjed, who numbers Premier League footballers and professional athletes among his clientele, the clinic will bring innovative treatments in aesthetic medicine, skincare and wellbeing to the city.

The MEDIKA Clinic boasts several experienced clinicians offering a range of treatments including, aesthetic procedures, health checks, tailor-made wellness programmes, anti-ageing treatments, mindful medicine and wellbeing procedures such as IV Drips and B12 vitamin injections.

MEDIKA is already working with many leading wellness brands including, HydraFacial, Cutera Lasers, ZO Skin Health, Skin Pen and Intravita and will launch a retail arm to the business available in-store with additional partnerships to be announced in the coming months.

It will be the first Manchester site to offer the Cutera Secret Pro device which remodels and revitalises the skin via fractional CO2 laser and RF technology.

The clinic is also set to launch a membership programme and offer a bespoke personal health service via the MEDIKA Health Concierge.

Dr Amjed said: “Our vision with MEDIKA is to create the ultimate health brand where we offer the latest innovative treatments in the health, aesthetics and lifestyle-medicine industry.

“We have set out to create a safe space in the heart of the city where we can empower you to become the best version of yourself. The MEDIKA Clinic experience consists of a personalised and tailored approach to our clients’ wellbeing needs. We consider each individual’s health goals by obtaining a complete understanding of your history, your lifestyle, and your biochemical and genetic makeup coupled with our state-of-the-art analysis technology to create the most effective treatment plan for your journey to an enhanced life.”

The venue features a number of treatment rooms with bespoke joinery and ambient lighting, custom-made IV drip pods furnished with Bo-Concept lounge chairs, an integrative reception and a waiting area.

Clients will be guided through ‘The MEDIKA Journey’, which was designed by Dr Kamran and his team centring around the brand’s core values focusing on holistic wellbeing and a human approach.

Dr Kamran added: “Since becoming a doctor six years ago, I noticed a desperate need for a fundamental change to conventional healthcare. I started MEDIKA to redefine our approach to health, wellbeing and aesthetic medicine so that our doctors can work with you as partners on your health journey – a team rather than as two separate entities.

“I have always loved the consultation process where I really get to know my clients and spend the time needed to get a complete idea of where they are now and where they want to go regarding their health goals.”

MEDIKA has also been backed by Manchester-based businessman and philanthropist Vikas Shah.

He said: “When I first spoke to Dr Kamran about this venture and his vision I really wanted to be involved. MEDIKA is aiming to change the landscape around wellness, lifestyle and health and I am looking forward to watching the clinic evolve in Manchester and beyond.”

The health brand’s ambitious growth plans include the launch of a GP service which will operate in-person or online and has more clinics planned for 2023.
