North West Precision, a supplier to Airbus based in Rock Ferry on the Wirral, is on the verge of administration, putting around 60 jobs at risk, TheBusinessDesk.com has learnt.

Documents have been filed at court to appoint Lancashire-based Marshall Peters as administrators.

In the last set of accounts filed at Companies House in March 2022, the business recorded a small loss of £92, 549, but had suffered a much bigger loss of £1.9m in 2020.

Describing the period as “difficult” the business accessed job retention grants and CBIL loans but admitted the situation “challenged the expertise of the company’s management”.

In a note of optimism in the accounts the business claimed a “historic high” order book of £5m.

The business was run by Miles Tudor, who had a significant ownership of the business through a holding company.

In 2009 BK Consultants, a consortium from Leicestershire provided investment required to allow North West Precision to continue to operate as a market leading aerospace parts manufacturer.

The business is described as a wholly owned British company that began trading in 1977 occupying two modern, purpose built factory factories.
