British Council for Offices to hold Manchester conference

THE British Council for Offices (BCO) is to hose its 2012 Annual Conference at Manchester Central Convention Complex.
BCO’s conference is regarded as the the biggest event in the office property sector and was last held in Manchester back in 2004.
BCO’s conference chairman, James Wates, said that it had decided to return following the recent programme of investment in the venue.
“We’re delighted to bring the BCO Annual Conference back to the North West after an absence of eight years. In that time, Manchester has been transformed into a top global location.
“The city’s culture of innovation and enterprise provides an excellent platform from which to consider how we might cultivate signs of recovery within the market as a whole.”
Paula Lorimer, sales and marketing director for Manchester Central, said: “The investment we have made at Manchester Central is attracting big events to Manchester, and the BCO is another example of how the investment is paying dividends for the city. We look forward to welcoming them to Manchester next year.”
The conference will take place from 23-25 May. This year’s conference attracted 350 delegates over the three-day event.
