Appointments: Lancaster law firm hires two; Klarius hires Euro sales head; and more
LANCASTER commercila law firm Oglethorpe, Sturton and Gillibrand has boosted its ranks with two new hires.
Corporate lawyer Jennifer Grabowski has relocated to the North West from the London area after joining from Osborne Clarke.
Commericial property lawyer Kate Mallaband has returned to her Lancashire roots from Leeds firm Gordons.
Managing partner David Gillibrand said: “These two appointments confirms Oglethorpe, Sturton and Gillibrand’s place in the top echelons of North West commercial lawyers.
“This will give us the edge and enable us to provide an even better and more insightful service.”

AUTOMOTIVE parts business Klarius has appointed Bas Donders as its new European sales director.
Mr Donders will be responsible for European sales growth across the entire portfolio of more than 100,000 aftermarket brands of car parts.
Mr Donders has previously run European sales and management teams for Delphi, Valeo and other major players in the automotive component parts supply chain.
He said: “The opportunity to join a positive thinking and dynamic management team that has already made a series of shrewd financial and acquisitive moves is very attractive to me.
“The achievement is especially impressive since they have also improved product quality and delivered innovative thinking in terms of supporting customers. This is a powerful motivating factor for me.”
He will be based at Klarius Group’s Manchester airport headquarters.

SMART Financial Planning has recruited the former senior partner of Ilkley-based JPM Financial Planning, Martin Miller, to join the business.
The Altrincham-based Independent Financial Advisor said that it had experienced a “rapid organic growth” in client numbers in recent months, which has led to the amount of funds under its management doubling to £60m since the end of October 2010.
Mr Miller will be responsible for maintaining his relationship with existing clients transferring to Smart Financial Planning, as well as developing new relationships.
Smart Financial Planning managing director Steve Martin said: “We are delighted to welcome Martin to the team.
“We worked with Martin in his role at JPM Financial for a number of years as part of the Advanced Financial Planning Alliance, which saw three companies unite to share best practice and investment strategy.”
