Triangle footfall boosted by vintage fairs

MANCHESTER’S Triangle Shopping Centre has reported a 16% increase in footfall over the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May, boosted by the popularity of its vintage fair events.
The shopping centre said the figure was directly comparable to the Bank Holiday weekend at the beginning of the same month where no specific activity took place.
The event was organised by Vintage Threads, a subsidiary of Manchester Fashion Network, which has been running smaller vintage fairs for just under a year.
Michelle Atack, marketing manager for the Triangle Shopping Centre, added: “We are the only shopping destination in the North West holding these events and they remain very popular, so much so that they will be continuing for the considerable future.”
Tenants at the Triangle include Aspecto, Bravissimo, Jigsaw, Pizza Express, Tampopo, Y-3, and Zizzi.
