ABSOLUTE Media have completed a brand overhaul for 90 year-old company Halbro Sportswear.

Bolton-based Absolute’s brief for Halbro was to modernise the firm’s brand and to highlight the broad range of kit it supplies The company is best known for its rugby kit and owns the Raging Bull brand alongside ex-England Rugby union international Phil Vickery, but has diversified in recent years into other sports including hockey, football and athletics. The brand was then used to deveop a new website and brochure.

Carl Richards, managing director of Halbro Sportswear, said: “We asked a number of companies to pitch as this was a big project for us to undertake.

“Absolute were not the cheapest company but they showed they had the right knowledge and experience across all assets we required and they led us through the process perfectly.”

THE RococoGroup has created a new mobile website for luxury lodge park Haulfryn.

Rococo, which is part of a portfolio of web marketing companies owned by Just Search founder Paul Yates’s Manchester-based company Online Ventures, has created the mobile site for Haulfryn to advertise The Warren holiday park at Abersoch, North Wales.

The company said the mobile site gives park residents access the restaurant menu to make reservations,  check opening times, book boat launch times & storage as well as checking the local weather.

Haulfryn’s chief executive, Rod Tucker, said: “Mobile web usage is rapidly growing and people want to be able to access information wherever they are.
“We are committed to being able to provide this access which will revolutionise the way in which owners are able to search for information.”

MERSEYSIDE PR firm Polaris Media is celebrating a string of new client wins.

The company, which is run by brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington, has signed a new 12-month deal with Swedish company Roxtec, which has its UK headquarters in Bury. The pair first began working with the company in 2009.

It has also secured Deeside-based transport firm Delivery Solutions (DelSol) as a client, and won a tender to write a report for trade body Mersey Maritime to examine the size and strngth of the sector’s SME supply chain.

Director Ben Pinnington said: “We are determined to build on our expertise in the key sectors of engineering, maritime and private business in the North West and North Wales markets.

“The tough economic climate is making it even more critical for firms to vigorously promote themselves to increase their profile and sales. We cannot wait to kick start these new campaigns.”

The firm’s other clients include the CBI, Cammell Laurd and accountants Mitchell Charlesworth.

PR firm SKV Communications has been appointed by The Samaritans to promote its Feel Good Friday fundraising campaign.

The Feel Good Friday campaign is an event which will take place on February 3 to raise awareness of the charity’s work – it took more than 193,000 calls over the Christmas period and over 2.3m last year.

Manchester-based SKV is creating an online Facebook competition for buskers to  upload their best feel good performances to be in with the chance of becoming the ‘Feel Good’ champion.

It is also calling upon prominent businesspeople in the region to put their weight behind the campaign.
