Cheadle Glass sees clear growth

STOCKPORT-based glass processing and glazing company, Cheadle Glass, grew sales by 3% in 2011 to £4.5m.

The company supplies and fits bespoke glass products for domestic and commercial markets as well as processing around 400 tonnes of glass a year. It also supplies and installs domestic windows, doors and conservatories.

Managing director Gerard Hickie said that it was this diverse range of services which had helped it to maintain sales.

“There is no getting away from the fact that 2012 is going to be a challenging year but we have an extremely positive outlook,” he said.

The firm, which is in its 44th year, currently employs 44 staff and said that it has developed longstanding relationships with local housebuilders and contractors.

“We also enjoy a high level of repeat business from our domestic customers,” he added.
