Sharing the secrets of Silicon Valley

HARNESSING the entrepreneurial spirit, energy and drive of Silicon Valley in the North West will be discussed at an event this week.
A recent trip to the West Coast saw business owners from the North West tour tech giants such as Google, Linked-In and Symantec as well as visit venture capital funders and universities including UC Berkeley.
Now coaching firm The Winning Pitch High Growth Foundation, partnering with law firm Pannone, is holding an event to enable those on the tour to share their experiences with entrepreneurs in the region.
Among those that toured Silicon Valley are Gareth Burton, director, Burton Beavan & Co, Janet Green, business development director at DOC Solar and James Clarke, managing director of the Apprentice Academy.
Special guest speaker will be Scott Fletcher, chairman and founder of Manchester-based ANS Group. Scott will be telling his story of how he built his business.
Lisa Conmy, head of entrepreneurial services at Manchester-based Pannone, said: “Delegates described the tour as ‘an incredible life changing experience’.
“For those who are serious about fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, there is no better place to look than Silicon Valley, and the event is a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs and business leaders to come and hear their stories and learn how to emulate the success of some of the world’s most innovative companies.”
The Study Learning Tour event is taking place at the Concorde Suite at Manchester Airport on 17 May at 5pm and is free to attend.
