Driver strikes oil deal in US

DRIVER Group has announced that its newly-acquired Trett Consulting business has landed a deal with a major oil & gas exploration company in the US.

The firm said Trett Consulting, which it purchased less than two weeks ago in a £3m deal, has landed a contract with the firm that is likely to last for four years. It said confidentiality agreements and uncertainty about the scope of the work means it is unable to put a figure on the total value of the contract, but added that an initial agreement for the first 12 months is likely to bring in $2m.

The work will be carried out from Trett’s office in Houston, Texas.
