LIVERPOOL auctioneer Venmore is toasting its busiest auction since 2007, having last week generated £2.2m of receipts over 34 lots.
The auction, held on July 19 within Liverpool Town Hall’s Council Chambers saw the firm sell 72% of the properties on offer, with 11 lots sold prior, and 23 properties selling under the hammer.
Geoff Guest, auction and commercial director at Venmore’s Dale Street branch said: “The overall statistics from our July auction demonstrate that there is still plenty of money in the market, making it a great time to both buy and sell properties and for people to invest in the market.
“We had a staggering total of over 500 viewings for our 50 lots and over 240 people who came along to bid on our wide selection of residential, commercial and investment properties.
“We have seen strong demand, particularly in the residential sector, with savvy investors bidding on the more reasonable priced mid terraced houses.”
