Appointments: Darbys hires again; & more

DARBYS Solicitors, the Oxfordshire-based firm, has made four new appointments to its fast-growing North West office in Hale.
The arrival of key client manager Kay Kennedy, formerly with Manchester firm Pannone, and commercial property specialists Quentin Duckworth, Samantha Mowlah and Claire Naylor takes the team to 20.

NORTH West law firm Linder Myers has appointed personal injury specialist Mark Howarth as regional managing partner of its Chester office.
The move follows the recent merger with Drummonds Solicitors which completed at the end of September.
Mr Howarth, who is moving from the firm’s Manchester headquarters, will lead the office which will continued to be based at Pepper Street.
He said: “This is an exciting new challenge to build on Drummonds’ excellent reputation. We will have a particular focus on growing our commercial expertise both in Chester and wider North Wales market over the next 12 to 18 months.
“Our Chester office is well situated in close proximity to our wider network of offices in Lancashire, Shropshire and Manchester and we have ambitious, achievable plans to double the turnover to £3m by 2015 and will continue to actively look for further merger partners in the region.”
